The August Break 2011 : Aug. 31st

FINISHED! This final image isn't the best, but it's accurate of the day. I've been trying to work on some final pieces for my end of quarter review, and all Creeper wants to do is keep his paws warm by shoving them under the laptop.

Can't believe this project is already finished...and that I managed to post a picture for every day! I'm ready to get back to my regular posting schedule though.

Saturday: Had a yard sale this weekend and it went really well. Got rid of a lot of stuff and made some $$$ It was sticky humid though--that's never fun to sit in. heh

Sunday: Unless you're lounging by the pool and can dip your legs in when it gets too sticky!

The August Break 2011 : Aug. 19th

Today was tiresome. All night and morning I felt horrible. I stayed in bed as long as I could, but finally got up so I could do some heavy lifting and a lot of pricing! This weekend I am having a yard sale and I'm really hoping for a great turn out. [and a lot of buys so I don't have to cram this stuff back into the nooks and crannies of my room I had been storing it in]

The day ended on a good note though because Matt treated me to a BBQ restaurant we had been wanting to check out. I can't say no to sweet potato tots and a pulled pork sandwich! Plus Matt's fried okra was really good too. [although his food actually looks pretty gross in this picture. you can't win them all Instagram, you can't win them all]

The August Break 2011 : Aug. 18th

On Monday, Matt and I set the thermostat to 83 degrees Fahrenheit [28 degrees Celsius] and turned off the air conditioning. Instead we open the windows in the evening and have a fan or two on during the day. It's an experiment to see just how much the A.C. is affecting the overall price of the electric bill. [it was pretty outrageous this last time]

I'm actually sleeping better at night and not waking up in a pool of sweat. I think it's because since the A.C. is not on I'm not rolling myself up in the blankets and then getting too hot. I'm not really having a hard time staying comfortable with the new temperature change, but we do have a few frozen hand towels in the freezer that help cool you down quick if you place them on the back of your neck. The cats are loving the open windows, but I discovered today they also enjoy a cool towel placed over them. heh ;)
