Wanted Wednesday 05/25/11

WW is back! I'm doing another themed one, and this week's theme is SUMMER PICNICS. :D

Love this fun retro picnic basket. It even comes with the plates and silverware!

A bright and colorful blanket perfect for a picnic.

Seersucker is a great cotton fabric for warm summer days.

Rhubarb Lemonade--yum! It's a super simple recipe to boot:

Serves: 6
Yields: 6 drinks
Total Time: 2.5 hr 30 min
Prep Time: 10 min

  • 2 stalk(s) (or 3) rhubarb, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) sugar
  • 5 cup(s) water
  • 1 1/2 pound(s) strawberries, stemmed and crushed
  • 1 cup(s) freshly squeezed lemon juice, about 5 large lemons

  1. Bring rhubarb, sugar, and water to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in strawberries. Let steep and cool for 30 minutes.
  2. Strain mixture through a fine sieve, discarding solids, and refrigerate to chill. Stir in lemon juice. Serve rhubarb lemonade over ice.
