Summerville

Sometimes I forget to post pictures. They get buried in my queue, and some never see the light of day again.  Like these photos.  These pictures were destined to only surface for a far of future Flashback Friday....until I saw Jinah's post.  I had made a journey to Summerville, GA not too long ago myself! Not with the same goal, but even with that aside, we still managed to stop at the same abandoned building to take photos. hehe

These pictures were uploaded to Facebook recently and I thought I might as well use them for a FF post!

I don't think any of the other people pictured in these images read my blog, but hopefully they won't kill me for posting these. heh :x

I would also just like to point out that these are all from disposable cameras because not many people had digital cameras back then.  Oh, and if you did they were the size of bricks and ran on like 6 AA batteries. [I should try to track down those photos of me using ours. heh]

Yes, at one point I had jet black hair and a stupid look on my face. Now I'm just stuck with the stupid looks on my face ;D

Philips Cinema : Parallel Lines

I really enjoy short films. If I'm on Youtube it's probably because I'm watching one. I came across the winner's of last years "Parallel Lines, Tell It Your Way" short film competition hosted by Philips, and wanted to share some of them with you. A couple of the stipulations of the competition were that your short could be no longer than 3 minutes and you could only use 6 sentences of pre-written dialogue. One of those sentences being, "It's a Unicorn."  Immediate thumbs up from me ;D

Well hello there Wanted Wednesdays--fancy seeing you here!  It's been a couple of months. [which actually surprised me because I didn't think it had been that long. woops]

This W.W. is dedicated to a dog breed that I'm pretty over the moon about lately...FRENCH BULLDOGS! Unfortunately, another fur baby is not my future right now, so the cuteness below will have to do for now.

Helvetica Shirts : Now available on Etsy!

My boyfriend is a typography junkie. So last year he decided he was going to take a screen printing class and learn how to make his own type tees! He made a few different type history shirts and sold them at local events around town. His Helvetica history t-shirts were definitely the most popular though and he's finally restocked and brought them to Etsy!  I wanted to help him get the word out, and I knew some of you would be interested. :D

2. How big is your bed? I have a twin daybed, so if I fold it out, it turns into a queen.
3. What are you listening to right now? I'm in a 90's room on Turntable.fm --anyone else use this site? I've been using it instead of Pandora lately.
4. What are the last 4 digits in your cellphone number? That's not going to be very useful to you. heh
5. What was the last thing you ate? Cinnamon apple sauce...very fast, because I was running late. I'm ready for lunch!
6. Last person you hugged? Creeper-- before I left for school. Mainly because he whines when I don't pay attention to him while I get ready.
7. How is the weather right now?  Party cloudy, 88ºF  Not that I would know since I'm stuck inside for another 5 hours. :(
8. Who was the last person you talked to on the phone? Matt--I woke him up. oops
9. What is the first thing you notice in the opposite sex? Teeth
10. Favorite type of food. I'm not sure if I would say I had a favorite. I just like food in general!
11. Do you want children? Someday...maybe, who knows. Not in the game plan right this moment. ;)
12. Do you drink? Very rarely.
13. Ever get so drunk you don’t remember the entire night? Once. It was horrible and I never want to feel like that again. 
14. Hair color? Auburn

16. Do you wear contacts/glasses? I have both, but I wear contact 99% of the time. Mainly because I don't like the way my glasses look. I've been thinking about trying out Warby Parker.
17. Favorite holiday? Halloween! 
18. Favorite season? Fall or Spring...maybe more so Fall because my allergies are not as bad!
19. Have you ever cried over a girl/boy? Of course I have---it's never fun.

21. What books are you reading? Starting reading Running With Scissors the other night--thought I had already done so years ago. It's a quick read though, so I'm open to suggestions for future books!
22. Piercings? Just my ears. My mom actually had to sit on me to get the second hole pierced because I lost it after the first one went in. [I was 6 or so] :x

Flashback Friday: 07/15/11 Harry Potter

 

 Tons of people cried as the last Harry Potter movie came to a close for them last night. I was not one of them. I don't know if I've mentioned it yet, but last week, I started grad school! It's been great, but there have been some adjustments to my schedule that had to be made. Hopefully I can see the movie by this week. 

So, for this FF here are photos from a past midnight showing where we were being goofballs before the previews. ;D

Halley's Fashion Show

My friend Halley, of Miscy's Gothic Lolita and Vintage, had a fashion show Saturday night and asked me if I could take some photographs. :D  I was planning on shooting the models outside after their hair and make-up were done, but that didn't end up working out, so I had to do some slight improvising. The show was great  though, and Halley likes the photos, so the night ended up being a success!
