LETS BE FRIENDS

So yesterday I mentioned that there was a vendor at Chatty Crafty in particular that I really liked. That vendor is:

Seriously, if I could have stuffed Felicia's entire booth in my purse, I would have! All of her stuff is so so so cute and well done. Her Polaroid SX-70 cameras with their sleepy eyes and her Hipster Bear plushies with their PBR cans and  chest hair were amazing. And all her letterpress items were top notch! On top of her visually pleasing booth and items Felicia was just really nice and welcoming, which is always a plus! [because you know you've all encountered the scary booth vendor who makes you feel trapped and awkward and they are no fun. heh]

Since every item is going to be slightly unique being handmade, Felicia pulled a lot of her items for the show this past weekend. However, if you are interested in something you see in my post that isn't on her Etsy, I bet you could contact her and see if something is still available. :D

What I Wore : Chatty Crafty

This past weekend was Chatty Crafty in Chattanooga, TN. Matt and I drove up on Saturday to visit our friends that were vending and check out all the other great vendors. :D

Our friends: Lindsay from Pretty Pop Designs, and Laura from RawK+KandY!

The show was nicely arranged and there were a lot of great vendors I had not seen before. One in particular I fell in love with-I'll have a post about them tomorrow! I'm sad there was a threat of rain all weekend for them since it was an outdoor show, but I think it really only got them some on Sunday.

I was wearing a new dress I had just received, so before we got too hot and miserable, Matt humored me and took some photos of me by the waterfront. Of course I'm more partial to the ones where I'm being a goof. ;)

Look at that bag! I could be smuggling a cat in there for all anybody knows ;D

Update On Gus

I wanted to pop in and give you all an update on Gus.  He has had his surgery and is doing really, really well! He's energy has increased tenfold, and you can just tell he feels a lot more confident bearing weight on that leg. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that donated and spread the word about Gus. <3

He's since had his stitches taken out and his fur has grown back in. He actually just got a haircut and is now sporting a slim cut with a poofy head! ;D

Megan said the photo above this one was "the saddest photo ever"--but I had to disagree. I think this one is way sadder. ;D

So again THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

What I Wore : Cat Dress

You know, this time two/three years ago, I wasn't a cat person.  I didn't mind cats...I liked cats, but they weren't high on my radar. Then Nibbler, Stinker, and Creeper came into my life and I am now 3 cats away from officially being crazy. So of course I wear cat print dresses now! ;D

sometimes it's better to wonder who's hand that is
Look, I don't always make the best faces...BUT this is a great example of the Monocle necklace doing it's thing--MAGNIFYING! :D

Friday Fotos

Taking a break from a much needed apartment scrub down.  Cats and the hair they shed, wow! I could make a whole army of cats with it! :x

Anyway, thought I'd share some photos I just took off my phone. Hope everyone has a great weekend :D

Best of friends!
Overgrown cemetery by my house
Matt and I tried this place called "Cozy Burger Town"  It was actually pretty good! Plus they had an interesting twist with giving you chips and salsa with your burgers and rings/fries.
Food truck girlz! Ate so much fooood
Tried fried collard greens for the first time. Really yummy but you feel like a dino eating them. ;)

Disney World

I want to go to Disney World--like really, really bad!

I need your help though. I know there are tips, tricks, and possibly secret handshakes into getting great deals on tickets and lodging. I've been doing my research, but it can get a little overwhelming. So I've come here today to ask for your sage advice.  What websites really know their stuff, what websites are just scams? Any, "If I do this on this day at this time I will be rewarded handsomely" type deals....you know, anything you might think would be useful to know when booking a trip to the land of enchantment.

Thank you so much! <3

I.C.E.: Indie Craft Experience June 11 + 12

I.C.E. was one week ago, and as always, I had so much fun! I love the ladies that put it together every year, the other spectacular vendors...and of course-- all the lovely people that come out to see out wares! ;D

Our booth: [I shared space with Megan Maude]

Our Shenanigans:

Megan said it looked like I was holding a bouquet
So I gave her this to work with ;)
Creepy monkey watching over our car
When we were cleaning up on Sunday I found this little ghosty c/o Ted Murphy of Spooky Toons. Now I need to find me an Evereman and Catlanta piece!

Other ICE goodness:

I've known Sarah Watts for several years now and she is an awesome awesome person. She also makes awesome illustrations. You should check her out :D
I've also known Kelly Mckernan for several years. She's a cat lover and can draw like no ones business- she even put me in one of paintings before!  winwin
I've also known Ashley from Deuce Goods for several years-I'm noticing a pattern here. ;) My fridge is covered in her magnets!
Okay, so I just recently met Colleen of Little Red Afro--whew, broke the streak! She makes adorable mini paintings [and gnomes] and we all know how I love miniature things!
Carla of Viva Greetings was our backside booth mate! She endured us trying to squeeze out of our booth [through our clothing rack] all weekend. heh Oh, and her booth? Made completely from cardboard moving boxes. I think I heard her tell someone it cost her $14 to make  awesome!
Oh hey, it's Savannah from Maie Dae! Promise I wasn't being a creeper, she knew I was taking this photo. haha
Can we say epic booth--yes we can, EPIC! Plus Savannah was a sweetheart :D
